Prayuth extends congrats to Trump on win

Prayuth Chan-ocha congratulated Donald Trump on the presidential win today, saying it is democratic principle that the voice of the people has to be accepted.

He noted that, “We have to adjust to changes. Things keep changing. I have not been indifferent to change. Instead, I have been keeping abreast of it.”

About keeping good relations with the new president-elect, he said, “We have to think about what we can do for the best interests of our country. No matter who is the next U.S. president, we will continue to cherish the U.S.-Thai relationship of more than 180 years,” reported Bangkok Post.

He finished off his congratulatory thoughts by saying, “We have to be on the offensive and apply a balanced foreign policy with every country in the world that is our trade or dialogue partner.”
