All arrivals and departures were blocked at Hua Lamphong train station due to a power supply failure this morning.
Engineers are now operating the tracks manually until the system can be repaired.
The failure forced all incoming passengers to alternative stations. The railway system is warning customers to prepare for slower than usual service, the Bangkok Post reported.
