Pope Francis has accepted an invitation from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to visit Thailand, according to a tweet today from Thai government spokesman Teerat Ratanasevi.
Yingluck visited the Vatican today as part of a diplomatic tour of Europe.
No details of a potential papal visit to Bangkok have been released yet.
