To drive his girlfriend, who is a big fan of Winnie the Pooh, wild with excitement, a man dressed up in a Pooh Bear costume and proposed to her at a mall in Bangkok yesterday.

A Pantip user shared footage of his marriage proposal online last night, although things didn’t quite go as planned.
First of all, the proposal was not a total surprise as his girlfriend found the ring in his bag earlier that day when she helped him look for a document.
Second, she laughed at him the whole time and didn’t exactly say yes.
“When we arrived the restaurant, I told my family and girlfriend to wait inside, and I rushed to the bathroom,” the user wrote, “Thanks to my mom and auntie, they unwillingly carried the Pooh Bear costume to the mall and waited for me outside the bathroom.”
“As soon as I put the bear on, I was so embarrassed and nervous! People kept calling me ‘Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear.’”
Dressed up in a cute Pooh Bear suit, the man embarrassedly walked into the restaurant where the camera was set up.
“What are you doing? Aren’t you embarrassed?” The girlfriend said and giggled.
“Well, it’s really hot, and yes, I am super embarrassed,” the man gave up and took off the suit.
At the end of the video, he threw a red bag with a ring in it at her, and we assume her laugh suggests she would marry him and live happily ever after.
The user added that he and his girlfriend ended up taking lots of selfies with the Pooh Bear suit at their home.
The moral of the story for gentlemen is, Disney character costumes can do no wrong. No lady will ever say no to the furry yellow bear with no pants. And ladies, if a man is willing to put on a costume in public for you, he’s a keeper.
