Following his failed gubernatorial bid on the Pheu Thai ticket, Pongsapat Pongcharoen has been reinstated to his position as deputy police commissioner-general.
The Nation reports that this decision came Tuesday from the Police Commission, which was tasked with reevaluating Pongsapat’s status after his run at the governor’s office.
Pongsapat had originally foresworn his duties as a law enforcement officer in order to take part in the governor’s race.
