It started today. The towing zone, where illegally parked cars will be towed at their owner’s expense, has expanded with another 30 roads to relieve Bangkok’s traffic, which was crippled by protests and a new school term today.
The towing program was introduced just 11 days ago to the 10 worst-traffic areas. Eighty-one vehicles have been towed under the new rule, which has been well-received by many residents, Sanook reported.
Here are the additional 30 roads where drivers will actually have to obey parking laws if they want to find their car later:
