Police seize B15 million in fake designer goods

Two foreigners and a Thai national were busted Tuesday with THB15 million worth of fake brand name products at their shop located in a Nana-area hotel.

Koonikkinari Akhilesa, 25 of India, Thai woman Apon Kertsuk, 35, and a Burmese woman only identified as Zora, 23, were arrested for selling counterfeit designer products at the Grand Five Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 3/1, also known as “Soi Africa,” police said yesterday.

Lumpini police obtained a search warrant and raided the place after their investigators found the shop “Variety Shoes” was selling fake designer accessories.

Police seized 599 fake bags, shoes and watches copied from popular designer brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Prada and Chanel, Khaosod reported.
