Thai police have seized 5,000 kilograms of marijuana, worth up to 500 million baht.
Pathum Thani police raided a warehouse in Lam Luk Ka District where they found approximately 5 tonnes of marijuana packed for shipment to the Netherlands.
Authorities estimated the value of the weed to be about THB500 million. According to an image taken from the scene, it appears to have been packed in boxes labeled “towel.”
Warehouse owner Sirisak Boonsiri was not on the premises, police said, but his wife was. She denied knowing the packages contained weed and said her husband had been in the export business for over two years.
All the bud was nicely bundled in moisture-control bags. NNT reported the police took everything.
