At 2pm yesterday, Metropolitan police arrested three men after they found 4.5 million methamphetamine pills and 60 kilograms of crystal meth in the men’s possession.

During the raid at an apartment on Soi Phokaew in the Bueng Kum district, police also discovered four guns and several rounds of ammunition. The three suspects told police that they were only hired to watch over the drugs.

Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen told reporters that the operation was the largest drug haul in Bangkok history. The drugs have an estimated value of THB1.5 billion. He said that police would investigate to find the head of the drug ring, MCOT reported.
