An arrest warrant has been issued for a women who cheated investors out of THB20 million in an elaborate whole iPhone selling scheme.
Suwicha Jareonporn, 39, claimed she could sell iPhones in bulk for only THB13,000 each. The market price is around THB20,000.
One victim said she cozied up to him through personal contacts, lying about her business experience and claiming she had connections with politicians.
The victim said he ordered a hundred phones from Suwicha who offered him commissions when he invited his friends to make a purchase.
Suwicha apparently delivered on her promises until Sept. 2, when she suddenly disappeared.
The Crime Suppression Division said there are over 20 victims who who scammed by the woman, Khaosod reported.
