Police hunt moto gangs after teenager shot dead in crossfire

Police are hunting gunmen involved in the shooting of a 15-year-old who was killed in crossfire between two rival motorcycle gangs.

Boonyawat Suebsamran, was shot in the head on Monday evening as he travelled in a pickup truck with his boss in Bang Chan area, Thai PBS reported.

The pair worked for a satellite dish firm and were on their way home after installing a dish at a customer’s house.

Boss Charnchai Sriburi told police he spotted three motorcycles in his rear mirror, seemingly part of a chase. He then heard two gunshots and the front windshield cracked before Boonyawat collapsed. Police said he was killed instantly.

Boonyawat’s mother said he was the eldest of three children and the breadwinner of the family.

Police are hunting the motorcyclists, who they believe fired the shots as part of a street fight.
