A shirtless, drunk man wielding a shotgun and looking for revenge was arrested by police early yesterday morning in Chonburi.
Local residents called the police to report a man wandering around their neighbourhood with a gun.
When the officers arrived, a shirtless Pracha Yawongka, 27, took aim at the men, forcing them to run for cover. He then fled into a nearby wood.
Officers eventually arrested Pracha and found a shell chambered in the shotgun and two rounds in his pocket, reported Khaosod English.
Pracha told officers he had been drinking with a new friend who had absconded on a THB1,000 bar bill.
Unhappy at this turn of events, Pracha decided to steal a shotgun from his boss’ home and seek revenge.
“He felt upset and very angry at the man … so he sneaked into his boss’ house, where he works and lives as a security guard, and stole the shotgun,” the police said.
“He was hoping to find the man and shoot him in revenge for fooling him into paying the bar bill.”
Pracha has been charged with carrying a shotgun without a permit.
