Kids, if you’re going to do illegal drugs, it’s probably not a great idea to take a picture and post it online.
Just a heads up.
We bring this up because yesterday the well-known Thai forum Poo plod ploi RISES shared a photo of a woman snorting an unidentified substance through a straw. The photo was posted on her personal Facebook account with a caption: “Last night was fun. Didn’t come home until I was so high LOL”.
It was a slow news day so the photo was the most talked-about topic on the social network and many commenters speculated that it might be a new Thai trend. After all just last month Punpun, the teen star from the TV show Hormones, shared a now infamous picture of herself smoking crystal meth.
While two instances hardly warrants labeling something a trend, we can assure you that us venerable hacks of the Fourth Estate only need three examples before we can run around wildly making unsubstantiated accusations about the breakdown of Thai moral character.
