Anyone can be a photographer – which today seems to be everyone – but the ones who are able to make it are those who capture moments the rest of us miss.
The Rooftop Gallery presents some of the best images from talented photographers from the International Photography Awards 2013. The photos were selected by Susan Baraz, the IPA’s head judge.
“Through my travels, I’ve seen close up, countless faces filled with joy and tragedy, amazing animals, both domestic and wild, microorganisms unseen by the naked eye,” she said in the announcement. “I have viewed incredible vistas, marveled at breathtaking architecture and have been frightened by the horrendous effects of climate change. Yes, I’ve been fortunate to travel this globe, but it’s all been without ever leaving my chair.”
