A Phuket woman was seriously injured when her spring mattress stabbed her in the buttocks yesterday.
Phuket rescue volunteers were summoned to a residence where they found a 20-year-old woman, whose name was withheld, with part of a metal spring buried deep in her bum.
Rescue volunteers had to cut the metal from the mattress to free the girl. They then took her to Vachira Hospital.
According to a friend of the victim, they had just returned home with some food before the incident occurred. After entering her apartment, the woman threw herself onto the bed and landed hard; that’s when she was stabbed, Kapook reported.
