Phone store employee accused of choking customer in store

A woman filed a police complaint yesterday claiming she was assaulted by an employee inside a mobile service provider’s store.

Tree-ratchada Pitchayanansakul, a 27-year-old transgender, said she and her friend went to a TrueMove shop at a Rangsit shopping mall yesterday to inquire about an iPhone 5s she’d previously sent for repair.

Tree-chada claimed the shop initially told her the repair would be covered by insurance, but upon entering the shop employee Patcharaporn Inpaen, 24, quoted a repair cost of THB10,000.

When Tree-ratchada asked for other solutions, the employee “rudely” wrote a number down paper and told her to call Apple headquarters in Singapore.

As Tree-ratchada attempted to film the incident, the employee walked out from behind the counter to choke and slap her repeatedly in front of other customers.

Police will investigate the incident from security camera footage and call Patcharaporn for questioning, Post Today and Thairath reported.
