“Real life isn’t so different from the movie,” a Pheu Thai elder wrote on Instagram yesterday after watching Marvel’s high anticipated “Avengers: Endgame.”

In her social media post, veteran political figure and prime minister candidate Sudarat Keyuraphan drew similarities between “Uncle Thanos” ‏and another demanding “uncle” in everyone’s lives.

“‘If we lose, we lose together.’ That is the quote Tony Stark uses that rile up the heroes to fight. Everyone let’s rise up against ‘Uncle Thanos,’” Sudarat wrote, misquoting something actually said by Captain Marvel.

“Though we are at a disadvantage in this game because our competitors wrote the rules, do not be discouraged. Let’s fight together until the last round. … When we reach our end game, we will win together,” she continued.

Despite the fact that Sudarat never directly named junta leader-cum-Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-Cha, it’s pretty clear who she’s getting at here.

Based on the response on Twitter, is seemed most were all for Sudarat’s declaration.

“Yesterday you told me you were really, really tired. Don’t be scared because in the end, we will be rid of ‘Thanos.’ We have the Avengers to protect our country. I’m rooting for you!” @Rosecassie5 – who ran into the politician at the theater – wrote in a comment to her post.

“I’ve waited 11 years for this franchise to end and for a new beginning. I will not give up hope only after five years of waiting. Let’s go!” @SiwarukOnsri  wrote.
