Pharrell Williams, along with his parents, was at MahaNakhon, Thailand’s tallest building, last night to announce his partnership with restaurant and gourmet grocery store Dean & Deluca. The collab will be a product line inspired by his family’s recipes.
At the press conference, Pharrell and his father, Pharoah, announced that their specialty product line, called “The Williams Family Kitchen,” will be available at Dean & Deluca stores next year.
Pharrell said his father makes delicious dishes with healthy ingredients that have helped add years to his life.
“It was an honor to help my dad turn his cooking pastime into a business with this Dean & Deluca collaboration. His recipes are so good. My whole family is addicted to his cooking,” Williams said.
Although Pharrell has never performed in Bangkok, many local stores and supermarkets (We’re looking at you, Home Fresh Mart) have adopted “Happy” as their theme song. Some have even made their embarrassed staff dance to it while shoppers uncomfortably continue their shopping.
People who ran into Pharrell in Bangkok proudly boasted about the encounters with the American musician on Instagram, where Pharrell did his signature wai pose in every photo.
Even Ronald McDonald couldn’t help but wai back at the charismatic singer.
