An alert commuter and upright citizen helped catch a suspected pervert Thursday who was trying to get capture some intimate footage from beneath a university student’s skirt.
Although the press wasn’t around to report the incident, the heroic move was shared on Pantip to warn the ladies to be mindful.
On Thursday, the Pantip user said he arrived at Asoke BTS station at 7pm during his commute home. While riding an escalator, he said a man in a black outfit cut in front of him to take a position behind an attractive female student ahead.
After observing the man’s suspicious behavior, the user decided to follow and see what happened.
Before long, the man had whipped out his phone and placed it directly under her uniform skirt.
“What the hell are you doing?” the user says he shouted before grabbing the man’s wrist.
The suspected perv escaped and ran down the escalator, but a security guard was able to catch him at the exit to Terminal 21 and called the police.
The student, who found out later she was filmed, also accompanied the suspect to the police station to file a report.
It turned out his phone contained many videos filmed under women’s skirts.
As for his punishment? Of course, the man got the gentle THB1,000 fine and was held until 11:30 before being released in time for curfew.
Considering the not-very-punishing punishment, the user warned women to be careful of other up-skirt thrill seekers.
