PE teacher throws mug at pretty student’s face, causes disfiguration

A mom in Nakhon Ratchasima alleges that her daughter now has an irregularity in her face after a gym teacher hit her in the head with a ceramic cup.

Pranee Jodsanthia, 48, claims that Chokchai Samakkee School is refusing to take responsibility for the teacher’s actions and for the THB300,000 medical treatment her daughter now needs. She also, apparently, made a complaint to the police a month ago, who have also not taken action.

Because of what she interprets as a lack of response to her case, Pranee started sharing her case with reporters today.

According to her, her daughter Naruedee, 17, now has nerve damage in her face after being hit in the face by a mug, thrown by a male gym teacher only identified as Paitoon.

Naruedee said that, on Aug. 8, her gym teacher forced her classmates to sit on the ground outside before his class started. She claims that she stood up due to the ground being too hot.

She claims that Paitoon was angry at her disobedience and threw the mug at her. It hit  her left forehead, reported Bangkok Post.

She claimed that she didn’t tell her parents what happened but realized that night, as she brushed her teeth, that she could not longer close her mouth properly and water spilled out of it.

She noticed that her mouth had become twisted and, soon, she could not close her left eye either.

The next day, the daughter and mother went to the local police station to file a complaint but they weren’t given a copy of the report because the police did not want them to share it on social media.

Pranee soon met with the school director, who said the school would cover the medical costs for her daughter. The treatments for the swollen nerve were unsuccessful at the local hospital and Naruedee’s face remained twisted.

They two visited Bangkok’s Ramathibodi Hospital and were told the treatment would cost THB300,000.

The school said they would cover only THB80,000 and that Pranee would have to sue for the rest, the mom claims.

The family says they can’t afford to sue and that the teacher had no right to throw a mug at his student. She also claims that the teacher never even contacted them.
