A Facebook user posted a clip of an amazing, partying, dancing, drinking granny that she captured on Walking Street in Pattaya over the New Year holiday and Thai netizens are loving it.
Kantima AE added the caption, “Will I be like this when I’m old?” under the 21-second clip, posted on Jan. 4.
In the video, a cute old lady swings her arms and hips to some killer EDM beats while draining every last drop out of a bottle of booze (we’re guessing it’s a bottle of Heineken but it could also be soju or lao khao based on the look of it).
The clip has gone viral, with over four million views and 76,000 shares. Commenters are mostly laughing along with the older lady, thinking that she’s cute and that she deserves to have fun.
In the 20,000 comments, most people simply tagged their friends and commented “555.” A few hoped they could find the older lady and party with her in the future while at least one girl said that she was definitely going to follow in the footsteps of the older lady. Perhaps commenter Vanna Hoang said it best when she just typed in, “Go Granny Go!!”
We’re not sure where granny lives but she’s dressed in a country-style outfit complete with headscarf, blouse and traditional sarong skirt. No shoes, because we all know that the streets of Pattaya are pristine.
