We have our fingers crossed a new panda baby is on the way.
After a successful artificial insemination last month, giant panda Lin Hui will get an ultrasound scan in two weeks and Chiang Mai Zoo veterinarians are hopeful it will show she is pregnant.
Lin Hui has begun to show signs she might be pregnant such as her growing appetite, the making of her own territory, weight increase, and a higher progesterone level.
The ultrasound will be conducted on August 21, state media reported.
The insemination was carried out last month when zoologists recognized the subtle signs that Lin Hui was in heat.
If all goes to plan, panda lovers can expect a baby between August to October.
