Pad Die: Man orders pad thai extra spicy, cook tries to make him regret being born

Redditor Logan Doan went to an Asian street food festival in Florida last week and ordered a pad thai “extra spicy.” When he saw the receipt for his meal, “extra spicy” had been entered 17 times with a special note from the server that the cook should make Doan “regret being born.”

His Reddit post about the Jacksonville, Florida, incident on Oct. 5, in the subreddit “funny” under the username Lowghen, went viral, and Munchies reported that the dish Doan received was garnished with way more red pepper flakes than necessary.

The post, featuring a photo of the receipt with the incriminating 17 entries and cruel/funny note has over 124,000 upvotes and almost 3,400 comments.

People chimed in on the thread with comments about the chef “being a dick” as well as their own feats of spicy food eating, including way too many comments about burning bumholes.

After many questions about how spicy the meal actually was, Doan revealed that he did not regret his existence and that the noodles were “not spicy at all.”

It makes sense. After all, pad thai is not supposed to be spicy.
