Yesterday, a group of mothers filed a complaint with Crime Suppression Police, accusing Jitranan Siriphramnakul of running a baby toy scam and making away with a total of THB1.2 million.
One of the victims told police that they were members of a Facebook group called “Club Mangkorn Tul 55,” a community for mothers whose children were born in October 2012. Jitranan convinced the group’s members to buy early development learning toys from her. She delivered the products on time at first, but later disappeared after accruing a heap of back orders.
INN wrote that the victims tracked down Jitranan’s address in Phitsanulok Province but were unable to get their money from her, forcing them to press charges.
