Octogenarian’s abstract life laid out in uncertain terms at BACC

It’s hard for normal people to understand the life of an artist, maybe because we’re just stuck in offices or schools and not gliding around the globe on a rainbow scooter consuming grants.

“The Autonomous Spirit” will lay bare the life 80-year-old abstract artist Inson Wonsam. The exhibition contains more than 100 works including sculptures, wood prints and paintings, some of which will be expressed through video by Jirasak Saengpolsith. A documentary of Wongsam’s life as an artist created by Wachara Kanha will also be shown.

The opening reception starts at 6:30pm on Sept. 11.
