O-Negative blood needed for building collapse survivors

O-Negative blood is urgently needed for the survivors from Monday’s building collapse north of Bangkok in which three workers have been confirmed killed and 24 injured.

Potential donors with the rare blood type are encouraged to make the donation directly at Thammasat University Hospital where the two survivors were admitted to, according to Prapasiri Sajjacholapoan, governor of Pathum Thani’s  Red Cross chapter.

The search for survivors took over 27 hours from Monday afternoon while seven workers are still believed missing under the rubble of the building that was under construction in Pathum Thani province.

The authorities temporarily called off the search last night at 9pm on the assumption no further survivors will be found, Thairath and NationTV reported.
