A Bangkok road crew was set on finishing their work today come hell – or high water.
When the latter came thanks to today’s powerful storm, the team of workers left onlookers gasping when they continued pouring cement into a roadway that had been turned into a lake.
“Look, look, look, this is fucking genius. Pouring cement into a flood, holy fuck, I have never seen this!” a man can be heard observing in the clip as people cry out as the fuck-free crew carries on without flinching. “This is the real deal, can this actually work?”
Another man can be heard noting that all the cement will be gone once the flood disappears.
The clip was first posted by Facebooker Ipod Manjasannoi.

Reached for comment, the videographer only confirmed that it was filmed in Bangkok. The original clip has since been made unavailable.
Some observers were reminded of more contemporary examples of “pouring crushed chilli into the river,” as the Thai idiom goes for useless endeavors.
“This is like going through temperature screening even though we know COVID can not have symptoms,” @Brokeassbitcch wrote.
Others saw the standards of “government work” satisfied yet again.
“This is the epitome of failure in the state procurement process,” @Kaan29151 wrote.
