Backed by Italian Chamber of Commerce chapters in more then 45 countries worldwide, the Ospitilita’ Italiana project seeks to recognize Italian eateries that adhere to the authentic traditions of that country.
Tonight, nine Italian restaurants from Bangkok and Pattaya will be receiving an “official plate” in recognition of their commitment to Italian culinary tradition. The award is designed to promote Italian gastronomic culture and create new opportunities for Italian restaurants around the world.
A tasting by chefs from Bangkok’s certified restaurants will be held to showcase authentic Italian cuisine, and the meal will be accompanied by a newcomer to the beer scene – an Italian artisanal brew called Birra Menabrea’s “1846” imported by a burgeoning Italian beer distributor, Pacific B&B.
Bangkok restaurants receiving this prestigious Italian distinction include Biscotti at the Four Seasons, La Buca, Sole Mio , L’Ulivo , Medici Kitchen&Bar at Hotel Muse, La Tavola & Wine Bar at the Renaissance Hotel and Ugolini Ristorante Italiano.
