In the second instance of body cavity amphetamine smuggling to trouble Don Mueang airport in as many weeks, a woman was arrested yesterday for smuggling 2,000 yaba pills in her rectum.
Police acted on a tip-off and stopped Wanrunee Ayee, 20, as she disembarked from a flight that had come in from Chiang Rai province.
After detaining her, they found that she had been carrying 2,000 yaba pills, worth about THB600,000, in her rectum.
The Bangkok Post reports that Wanrunee confessed to picking up the pills on the Thai-Myanmar border with the intent of delivering them to a man in Bangkok’s Bang Kai district.
