Thailand’s Meteorological Department has issued the following warning for heavy rains and flash floods from today until September 7:
The active monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central and the Northeast of Thailand to the low pressure cell over the coast of Vietnam. The low pressure will cover the lower Northeast and the East of Thailand. Torrential rain is likely with heavy to very heavy in some places of the upper country. People in risky areas should beware of flash flood by 7 September. The areas include Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Phetchabun, Chaiyaphum, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnart Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri, Sara Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri and Sa Keao.
