The National Health Security Office (NHSO) is reporting that patients of the universal healthcare program want unlimited birth care, root canals and DNA tests added to the program’s services.
Currently, the NHSO offers delivery services for up to two children, but no more.
Among other proposed additions to the universal healthcare scheme were the provision of free mattresses to the disabled and some manner of healthcare for migrant workers.
In an interview with the Bangkok Post, Dr. Charan Trinwuthipong, an NHSO board member, said that his organization also needed additional funds to deal with the healthcare demands it already has on its plate.
