Two protestors cleared of charges in 2010 Central World arson

Earlier today, the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court acquitted two men who were accused of setting fire to the Central World shopping mall as part of May 2010’s Red Shirt protests.

The Court found that the evidence against both Saichon Paebua, 31, and Pinit Channarong, 29, was insufficient to convict them of arson.

The Nation reports that most of the testimony in the case came from security guards and other Central World employees.
