Two Lat Krabang residents nabbed for planting kratom

At 12pm today, police arrested two Lat Krabang residents for growing kratom trees in their backyard.

Police said that they found five kratom trees within property owned by Armnaj Hengmui, a 52-year-old farmer, and another 10 plants in property owned by Boonrod Somboon. The two cases were separate.

According to Dailynews, Armnaj and Boonrod are being detained at a police station for interrogation. Kratom leaf is the main ingredient in the local, cheap narcotic drink 4×100, consumption of which is illegal in the Kingdom.
