At 5pm yesterday, Pathumwan police announced the arrest of a 34-year-old Turkish national who was caught stealing money from tourists at Central World.
Police busted Yusoop Yildish and discovered USD270 and THB3,000 in cash in his possession. They said that Yusoop would ask to see foreigners’ bank notes, then quickly swap them out with fake notes of his own design.
Dailynews reported that Yusoop confessed the crime and would be handed over to the police station for further questioning.
