‘Tourist Buddy’ app released to help foreigners navigate Thailand

On Wednesday, Thailand’s Tourist Police released the “Tourist Buddy” – an app designed to help travelers navigate their time in the Kingdom.

Currently available only on iOS (Android version coming soon), the “Tourist Buddy” allows visitors to contact local police precincts, find attractions and remain cognizant of scams.

During the Songkran holiday, Tourist Police plan on mounting a diligent PR campaign, aimed at promoting the app.

The Bangkok Post reports that the main thrust of this effort will be an “i-Exhibition” in Suvarnabhumi Airport, from which the Police will provide tourists with help downloading their latest “Buddy.”
