Yesterday, tourism police debuted the Tourist Buddy Application in an effort to portray Bangkok as a safe, tourist-friendly destination for foreigners.
The application is available on iPhone and iPad and will soon be available in the Android market as well. It provides users with tourist destinations, special events, police station locations and emergency contact numbers.
“This app acts like your Buddy,” the app’s description read. “When you are lost or need to find travel places, you can use this app for searching.”
According to FM91, the application is compatible with iPhones 3GS to 5, is optimized for iPhone5 and requires iOS6 or later. It can be downloaded free of charge in App Store.
