Two topless gambling den hostesses turned themselves into police in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district yesterday Jan. 23 for questioning.
Photos of the two hostesses – Marisa “Sun” Kachondecha, 27, and Arunee “Bee” Somfong, 30 – working at a gambling den in only their panties have circulated on the internet and caused an outcry.
Marisa and Arunee said that they were hired to work at a New Year’s party at a casino in Sai Mai on Dec. 31,The Bangkok Post reported.
Gamblers at the party urged the women to take their clothes off and they did so hoping to earn more tips, deputy Metropolitan Police chief Saroj Promcharoen said. He interrogated the women.
The police fined the women THB500 baht each for committing an obscene act and released them.
Three other people who appeared in the photos reported to the police as well – Thanes Pradittaen, the building owner; Narong Amparum, a high-low dice gaming host; and Niwat Boontima, a gambler.
The police charged the three men with gambling-related charges and released them.
