THB70 million in crystal meth labeled as oolong tea seized on train

Yesterday railway police announced the arrest of a 42-year-old man who had allegedly attempted to deliver 50 kilograms of crystal meth from northern Chiang Mai to southern Songkhla.

Police busted Anan Tewasuk on special express train No. 35 from Bangkok to Butterworth. They said that the drugs, which had been wrapped in oolong tea packages, had a street value of over THB70 million.

FM 91 wrote that Anan was offered THB50,000 to deliver the illegal substances to a dealer in Songkhla.
