Thammasat University’s Rangsit Campus has prepared for potential flooding by setting up a sandbag wall around its Gymnasium 1, which is now being used as an evacuation center.
Prof Dr. Prinya Thaewanarumitkul, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, said that they have a relocation plan for evacuees of Gymnasium floods, according to the NNT. Currently the building is at full capacity with 3,600 evacuees, half on the ground floor and half on the second floor.
As the gymnasium is full, Prof Dr. Prinya advised those looking for shelter to go to Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Sripatum Universit, and Wat Phra Dhammakaya.
The NNT also reported that the Flood Relief Operations Center has set up a mental health clinic on the second floor of their headquarters at Don Muang Airport. Those facing depressions, fatigue, and stress related to the flooding can seek treatment from doctors, psychologists, and nurses on duty there.
