Thaksin advisor denies his boss’s ties to natural gas company

A legal advisor to exiled ex-prime minister Thaksin Shinwatra has denied rumors that Thaksin holds shares in PTT Plc. – Thailand’s national oil and gas company.

Noppadol Pattama, a lawyer under Thaksin’s employ, responded in the negative to rumors that Thaksin and members of his family owned a significant portion of PTT Plc.

In addition to denying Thaksin’s involvement in Thailand’s domestic energy trade, Noppadol also insisted that Thaksin had no interest in the energy industries of neighboring states either.

According to the Nation, Noppadol reported that Thaksin had made an offer to anyone who could prove his involvement in PTT Plc.: Not only would that person get all the discovered shares, but he or she could also claim a THB100 million prize.
