The 28th Thailand International Motor Expo kicks off this Thursday Dec. 1 at Impact Challenger Arena in Muang Thon Thani.
The expo showcases new models from all of the world’s biggest carmakers. Thailand is actually such an important part of the world automobile industry that it’s sometimes called the “Detroit of Asia” and Ford, Toyota, and Honda all have extensive operations and factories here.
Also on display – and perhaps even more popular – will be legions of “pretties”, batting their eyelashes and flipping their hair to help promote the vehicles. It’s no secret that these promotional hot girls are what draws a lot of the male clientele. It it’s not uncommon to see a crowd of dozens of amateur glamor photogs crowded around a model snapping away while the car next to her goes unnoticed.
Vying for attention with the girls will be the “show highlights”: the Ford Fiesta, Nissan Almera, and Tata Xenon.
Brands exhibiting include Ford, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mini, BMW, and Volvo.
The Thailand International Motor Expo will run until Dec. 12. Entrance is free and the official website ishere.
