The Pattaya Mail is reporting that Thailand has surpassed its 2012 goal for convention and exhibition visitors.
The report comes courtesy of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), which earlier today released research showing that convention and exhibition visitors to Thailand in 2012 totaled 900,000, a figure far greater than the 750,00 TCEB had originally predicted.
Thongchai Sridama, acting president for the TCEB, stated that in 2013, his organization would attempt to capture at least THB63 billion in convention and exhibition revenue by appealing to convention-goers in Africa and Eastern Europe.
