Thai government to ‘strictly enforce’ new alcohol rules

The Thai government has announced that it will work diligently to enforce new rules concerning the sale and consumption of alcohol.

In a statement made via the National News Bureau of Thailand, Interior Minister Jarupong Ruangsuwan called on provincial governors to enforce the Kingdom’s new alcohol sale restrictions. These strictures forbid the roadside sales of alcohol, the sale of alcohol inside factories and the sale of alcohol inside government properties.

Jarupong said that these new rules were aimed at keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors.
