The world’s safest airlines have been named and Thai Airways is definitely not among them.
A study from the German-based Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center (JACDEC) has ranked the world’s airlines from most to least safe and Thai Airways comes in 53rd out of the Center’s list of 60 carriers.
JACDEC compiled the list based on a 30-year catalog of instances where accidents occurred or nearly occurred.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that manning the list’s opposite extreme were Finnair, Air New Zealand and Chathay Pacific, which ranked first, second and third, respectively.
