A teenage motorcycle gang member was shot dead and four others were wounded in a shootout on Sathorn Road during Songkran water fights in the Silom area.
Wissanu Wilaikaew, 16, was hit in the chest by shots fired from a rival gang member in an ambush by about 15 motorcycles, The Nation reported. Four of Wissanu’s fellow gang members were also shot and injured.
Those injured said that they had fought earlier in the day with the opposing gang in Silom, but didn’t expect retaliation so long afterward.
The shooter was described as chubby.
