At 1:30AM today, a taxi driver jumped to his death from the middle of Rama III Bridge following a fight with his girlfriend.
Officers from the Pak Klong San Police Station were called to the spot where they discovered a pink, Toyota Altis taxi. Inside the car, police found the identification card of Yupin Singthimas, a 30-year-old Roi Et local, and a dozen photos of him and his girlfriend.
Nithan Siripha, a 37-year-old taxi garage owner, told police that Yupin had taken the car for two days prior to committing suicide.
According to Dailynews, an initial investigation shows that Yupin’s leap was fuelled by stress, but police will call in his relatives for further questioning. His body will be sent to Siriraj Hospital for an autopsy.
