As his first initiative during his second terms as governor of Bangkok, MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra is going to work to install 27,000 new CCTV cameras throughout the city.
Sukhumbhand, whose second term officially begins next Monday, promised further CCTV protection for Bangkokians during his campaign.
“We have to prove to the 1.25 million people who voted for us that we’re working for them,” he said, in an interview with MCOT. “We hope that the more than one million people who did not vote for us will join hands in pushing forward various projects for the interest of Bangkok people.”
The Election Commission will meet tomorrow to decide whether or not to officially endorse Sukhumbhand’s victory.
