In the latest of a series of ambitious transportation policy promises, Democrat gubernatorial candidate MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra has proposed building an automobile bridge across the Chao Phraya river.
The proposed bridge would be constructed at Kiak Kai, with the goal of reducing traffic congestion in the area.
The Nation reports that this promise is only one of many for Sukhumbhand, who has also asserted that he will build 10 new parks, install 24,000 new security cameras and finance two new hospitals, if elected to a second term as governor.
