Several people were hurt in a cooking gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant on Soi Rangnam near Victory Monument in Bangkok yesterday .
MCOT reported that one person was severely injured while four suffered minor injuries from broken glass from the explosion at noon. The Nation revealed that the blast happened at the Bangkok Grill and reported that seven total people were hurt.
A police investigation is underway, but authorities initially believe that it was a simple accident.
The explosion destroyed the ground floor of the restaurant, MCOT reported, but no other buildings were damaged.
