Yesterday, Petchkasem police arrested six men who had allegedly attacked Suphaporn Thongtang, a 65-year-old crispy crepe dealer, at Bang Khae Market.
As Coconuts Bangkok reported yesterday, a group of loan sharks attacked Suphaporn at her sweets stand, an action that led to a full-on brawl between them and other vendors who tried to protect Suphaporn. The incident left Suphaporn and a fruit vendor injured. One loan shark was also stabbed in the back.
Twenty-three-year-old Rungroj Ampuch, the head of the group who reportedly lent money to Suphaporn, admitted to the crime, claiming that Suphaporn failed to make timely payments on her debts. The other five members of the group are juveniles, aged between 16 and 17, Dailynews wrote.
